Meanderings from Jean's Desk....
Vacation
One lesson my dad taught me was about vacation. He told me how his mentor, Milt Rentmeester, taught him early in his career that you don’t skip vacation. Dad said that it was important to leave it all behind for the designated amount of time and be fully wherever you were, whether at home with the family or at some great spot. You owed it to yourself, your family and you owed it to your company. He insisted that whatever you left behind would be there when you returned, the difference being, that you would be refreshed and able to handle all of it better when you got back. It has been a rule in the company for many years now that everyone must take their vacation. As one of those employees I am here to say that I am now on vacation and will write again when I return. May you all have blessed vacations this year that renew your souls.
And thanks dad for all the wonderful times you were fully with us on vacation. They are all such fond memories for me now.
