About the role:

The Senior Director of Operations is strategically focused in driving change and innovation. You will work closely with other departments including Sales, Quality and Finance, to oversee all aspects of operations and services to assigned customers. The daily activities will range from material requirements, production scheduling, returned materials processing and investigation, to final delivery to the customer.

What you’ll do:

  • Driving the daily operations with other teams and making sure the plans and procedures are followed.
  • Establishing and controlling conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.
  • Function as the designated site external auditor through accreditation of ASQ.
  • Support external audit activities including external bodies (SQF, IMS, FDA, and Customers).
  • Confers with direct staff to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Active engagement in standardization and cost reduction programs.
  • Managing information flow between department managers and supervisors.
  • Managing the leaderships’ efforts on production and manufacturing processes.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related technical field of study required; MBA preferred.
  • Prior 3-5 years in a manager or director level experience in a packaging or food/ beverage manufacturing.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing organizations in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience in Flexographic Printing and Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Prior AIB, SQF or ISO certification exposure a plus

Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Analyst will develop / improve scheduling models using SAGE / Job Pack as well as perform data analysis to improve the overall supply chain performance and to meet the needs of the customer and LMI Packaging.

The Supply Chain analyst will recommend improvements to existing systems and processes to drive supply chain optimization across the end-to-end supply chain network. The Supply Chain Analyst will coordinate with other associates cross-functionally to implement changes and new system models to support strategic, tactical, and execution plans. The overall goal of the Supply Chain Analyst is to insure the supply chain runs smoothly and profitable while meeting corporate KPIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.

1. Assist with performance measurements of KPI’s as well as root cause analysis and gap closure recommendations.

2. Maintain understanding of materials, sizes and product segments.

3. Review, maintain, and ordering of raw materials via MRP within Sage ERP.

4. Creates, maintains, and develops scheduling models within SAGE/Job Pack

5. Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.

6. Collaborate cross functionally to gain proficient understanding of all internal customer and supplier responsibilities

7. Responsible for inventory accuracy, which includes cycle counting of the material.

8. Perform data analysis and create reports requested by outside sales and management.

9. Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Procedures.

10. Responsible to report any food safety / quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action – SQF Practitioner or direct supervisor.

Education and /or Experience:

3+ years Supply Chain experience with experience in SIOP systems and processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Adhere to all QC Policies and Procedures.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies
    • Adhere to all SQF policy and procedures.
    • Understand and follow job ticket instructions.
    • Able to work overtime, including weekends
