HR COORDINATOR – Part-time/Flexible Schedule!

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide variety of Human Resources duties. The HR coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support including but not limited to benefits administration, on-and off-boarding of employees, maintaining personnel files, participating in event planning and execution, employee communications and providing support for projects and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the highest level of service to our employees, as a first point of contact for HR related questions within the HR office either in person, by phone, or email.
  • Assist with onboarding, including sending employment information to new hires and completing both pre-employment screening items and internal new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate New Hire Orientation and/or facilitate as needed.
  • Administration of all benefit plans including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, LTD, STD and Life Insurance.
  • Prepare and distribute employee communications including monthly newsletter and bulletin board postings.
  • Maintain personnel files, ensures compliance with I-9 documentation and requirements, E-Verify and records retention.
  • Provide support for projects and initiatives including performance management process, Leadership Development program, Lunch & Learn events, Seniority program, attendance program, training program, employee engagement survey and employee appreciation events.
  • Assist with all aspects of the recruiting process.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma.
  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with benefit administration preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn new software/systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

PRINT PRESS OPERATOR – 3RD SHIFT OPENING

POSITION SUMMARY
The Print Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a multi-color flexographic press using water based, UV and solvent inks. The press operator must manage all aspects of the press performance including productivity and quality and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used at LMI Packaging Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ensure that product is printed according to specification.
  • Pulls job tickets and verify that stock and inks are available and correct.
  • Sets-up machine: installs aniloxes, inks, and stock and plate cylinders.
  • Sets impression and registers to print.
  • Completes in process inspections, follows work instructions and controls print quality.
  • Closes out job by completely and accurately filling out paperwork and scanning in all labor and material usage.
  • Maintains pH and viscosity for all inks during the production run.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Prior experience in packaging or food manufacturing a plus.

Die Cut Operator – 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT OPENINGS

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the shift lead, the Die Cut Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a machine with minimum assistance.  Also, the Die Cut Operator will be responsible for the quality of work and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used at LMI Packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to perform die cut daily duties which includes, but not limited to, being able to setup the die cut scale, retrieve and return tubes and boxes, pull lids, put rolls on and off machines, and adjust die cut registration.
  • Complete in-process inspections, follows work instructions and control die cut quality.
  • Complete simple math equations and completely and accurately fill out skid tags, daily paperwork and material return tags.
  • Die Cut machine cleaning.
  • Use and understand the scanning system in order to document all labor and downtime.
