POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the shift lead, the Die Cut Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a machine with minimum assistance.  Also, the Die Cut Operator will be responsible for the quality of work and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used at LMI Packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to perform die cut daily duties which includes, but not limited to, being able to setup the die cut scale, retrieve and return tubes and boxes, pull lids, put rolls on and off machines, and adjust die cut registration.
  • Complete in-process inspections, follows work instructions and control die cut quality.
  • Complete simple math equations and completely and accurately fill out skid tags, daily paperwork and material return tags.
  • Die Cut machine cleaning.
  • Use and understand the scanning system in order to document all labor and downtime.

PRINT PRESS OPERATOR – 2nd Shift

POSITION SUMMARY
The Print Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a multi-color flexographic press using water based, UV and solvent inks. The press operator must manage all aspects of the press performance including productivity and quality and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used at LMI Packaging Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ensure that product is printed according to specification.
  • Pulls job tickets and verify that stock and inks are available and correct.
  • Sets-up machine: installs aniloxes, inks, and stock and plate cylinders.
  • Sets impression and registers to print.
  • Completes in process inspections, follows work instructions and controls print quality.
  • Closes out job by completely and accurately filling out paperwork and scanning in all labor and material usage.
  • Maintains pH and viscosity for all inks during the production run.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Prior experience in packaging or food manufacturing a plus.

Production Scheduler

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Scheduler will develop / improve scheduling models using SAGE / Job Pack as well as perform data analysis to improve the overall production performance and to meet the needs of the customer and LMI Packaging.

The Production Scheduler will recommend improvements to existing systems and processes to drive supply chain optimization across the end-to-end supply chain network. The Production Scheduler will coordinate with other associates cross-functionally to implement changes and new system models to support strategic, tactical, and execution plans. The overall goal of the Production Scheduler is to ensure the manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting corporate KPIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with performance measurements of KPI’s as well as root cause analysis and gap closure recommendations.
  • Maintain understanding of materials, sizes, and product segments.
  • Ordering of raw materials via MRP within Sage ERP.
  • Creates, maintains, and develops scheduling models within SAGE/Job Pack.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to gain proficient understanding of all internal customer and supplier responsibilities.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy, which includes cycle counting of the material.
  • Perform data analysis and create reports requested by outside sales and management.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years Production Scheduling experience.
  • Experience in SIOP systems and processes.
  • Minimum requirement High School diploma or general education degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
