We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for managing HR activities for the organization. Under the direction of the CFO, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for creating and guiding the strategic vision that will enable the organization to provide strong benefits, recruitment of the best talent available, and support a performance-based culture through strategic initiatives, performance management, and training and development.

  • Develop workforce strategies, to recruit and develop qualified candidates
  • Advocate for employee retention and development
  • Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
  • Identify, Update, and Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide an ongoing assessment of company-wide performance management which includes training supervisors to be aligned to company policies, bi-annual reviews of employees, and coaching memos across the company.
  • Create and oversee the process for identification and development of programs for high potential leaders; including the development of staffing strategies and the implementation of programs to identify talent inside and outside the organization.
  • Consult with management and key leaders to address organizational behavior and leadership development including the coaching and leadership of teammates around employee conflict and other employee relations issues.
  • Ensures job description specific training and testing, and manages annual update of job descriptions
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings (EEOC, Unemployment.)

  • Previous experience in Human Resources or other related fields

1. Prepares files for print. This includes but is not limited to separations, stepping and

proofing.

2. Proofs all digital files prior to transferring to RIP.

3. Performs Platemaking functions (as needed):

a. Works with Plate Technician to coordinate plate making.

b. Proofs all digital files prior to output to plates.

c. Provides data and analysis of monthly material usage.

d. Tracking and recording plate totals.

e. Files all job packets away when jobs are completed.

f. Pulls and replace all artwork and plates when there is a revision to a job.

g. Prepares plate folders for jobs.

4. Work with Plate Technicians to output all new and replacement digital plates for presses.

5. Operates Plate Software to output files.

6. Arrange all plate packets to reflect the daily schedule and coordinates with Inside Sales

Representatives, Buyer/Planner, Production Coordinator, and/or Logistics Coordinator

with any scheduling issues.

7. Works with Creative Services Manager to maintain scheduled prepress is completed.

8. Works with Creative Services Manager to finalize die layouts in Esko software.

9. Schedules all P.M.’s for plate equipment.

10. Create all-new artwork quotes for customer/sales.

11. Upload all len files to the computer for Plate Technician.

12. Ability to act as back up to Creative Services personnel during absences.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Under the direction of the supervisor, the die cutter is responsible for operating and maintaining a machine with minimum assistance. Also, the die cutter will be responsible for the quality of work and must also have a strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used at LMI Packaging Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff is responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.

1. Ability to read 6th grade level English and understand the traveler.

2. Ability to manage the schedule as assigned.

3. Ability to perform die cut daily duties which includes, but not limited to, being able to setup the die cut scale, retrieve and return tubes and boxes, pull lids, put rolls on and off machines, and adjust die cut registration up / down / left and right.

4. Completes in- process inspections, follows work instructions and controls die cut quality.

5. Ability to complete simple math equations and completely and accurately fill out skid tags, daily paperwork and material return tags.

6. Must be able to clean the die cut machine.

7. Ability to use and understand the scanning system in order to document all labor and downtime.

8. *Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.

9. *Complete daily end of shift 5`s cleaning and properly document the cleaning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the product is printed according to specifications.
  2. Pulls job tickets and verify that stock and inks are available and correct.
  3. Verifies that anilox and plate cylinders are correct.
  4. Sets –up machine: installs anilox, inks, and stock and plate cylinders.
  5. Sets impression and registers to print.
  6. Complete Global Vision scan and obtain supervision verification.
  7. Completes all start-up checks and obtains art approval.
  8. Completes in-process inspections, follows work instructions and controls print quality.
  9. Closes out the job by completely and accurately filling out paperwork and scanning in all labor and material usage.
  10. Washes up the previous job before starting next.
  11. Maintains pH and viscosity for all inks during the production run.
